Cookie Policy
Every cookie this site sets, what it is for, and how to say no.
Last updated September 6, 2026
The short version
This site uses two kinds of storage. Essential cookies keep you signed in, remember your language, and protect forms from abuse; without them the site does not work, so there is nothing to consent to. Analytics cookies tell us which pages get read and where people get stuck. Those are optional, and refusing them changes nothing about what the site does for you.
There is no third category. No advertising cookies, no advertising identifiers, no data sold or shared for cross-context behavioural advertising. This policy sits alongside the Privacy Policy, which covers everything else we do with data.
No advertising, at all
Fritter Factory Innovation Labs Inc. does not serve advertising on this site and does not allow anyone else to. No ad network tag loads. No advertising cookie is set. No advertising identifier is created, read, or passed to anyone. We do not build advertising audiences, we do not run retargeting, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and the other United States privacy laws.
This is worth stating plainly rather than leaving to be inferred from an empty table. Generated cookie policies almost always carry an advertising section by default, and a policy that describes advertising we do not do would be false in a way that matters — we ask people to connect a Gmail account, and Google's Limited Use rules forbid using that data for advertising. Saying so here, in the document that lists every tag we load, is how that promise stays checkable.
If this ever changes, it changes here first, with a new date at the top of this page and a fresh consent request before anything loads.
Essential cookies
These run on every visit and are not optional, because the site cannot do its job without them. None of them tracks you across other websites.
| What it does | Set by | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Keeps you signed in and keeps the session secure | actmorehuman.com | Until you sign out, or 30 days |
| Remembers the language you chose | actmorehuman.com | 1 year |
| Remembers how you first arrived, so we know which post or page earned a signup | actmorehuman.com | 90 days |
| Protects forms and checkout from automated abuse, and carries a Stripe checkout session while you pay | actmorehuman.com, Stripe | The length of the visit, up to 24 hours |
| Remembers your cookie choice, so you are not asked twice | Termly | 1 year |
Analytics and product cookies
These are the optional ones. They measure how the site is used so we can fix what is confusing. They do not build an advertising profile, and nothing here is used to target you anywhere else.
| Service | What it is for | What it involves |
|---|---|---|
| PostHog | Product analytics and session replay | Usage events, pages viewed, and screen recordings with text fields masked. Up to 1 year. |
| Google Analytics 4 | Traffic and audience measurement | Usage, device and approximate-location data via cookies. Up to 2 years. |
| Google Tag Manager | Loads and manages the tags above | No data on its own; it orchestrates other tools. |
| Fathom Analytics | Privacy-friendly traffic measurement | Aggregate page-view counts. Cookieless, and it collects nothing that identifies you. |
| Sentry | Error and performance monitoring | Error reports with identifying fields scrubbed. Session replay only runs once analytics are accepted. |
Google Analytics is configured with Google Consent Mode, so before you accept, its tags run in a mode that sets no analytics or advertising cookies at all.
How your choice is asked for
A consent banner from Termly appears on your first visit and asks about the optional tools above. Essential cookies are not part of that question, because refusing them would mean the site could not sign you in or take a payment.
The rule the banner applies depends on where you are. Outside the United States — the EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil, Canada and elsewhere — analytics wait until you accept. In the United States they load unless you decline, which is what those laws allow. Either way, declining costs you nothing: every part of the site behaves exactly the same.
Changing or refusing your choice
Use the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of any page. It reopens the same panel, and a change applies from the moment you save it — there is no penalty for changing your mind, and no limit on how often.
If you would rather we deleted what has already been recorded about your visits, email hello@actmorehuman.com or use the data request form, which gives you a reference and a date by which we will have answered.
Controls in your browser
Your browser can refuse or delete cookies without asking us. Every major browser has the setting under Privacy, usually with an option to block third-party cookies entirely, and most now include a tracking-protection mode that stops all of the analytics tools above.
Google also publishes a Google Analytics opt-out add-on that works on every site, not just this one.
Blocking essential cookies will break sign-in and checkout. Blocking the analytics ones does nothing you will notice.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends the GPC signal, we treat it as a refusal of the optional tools without your having to click anything, and — since we run no advertising — as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information, which there is none of to begin with.
Do Not Track is a different, older signal that browser makers never agreed a standard meaning for. We do not act on it, because acting on an ambiguous signal would let us claim more than we can deliver. Use GPC, the banner, or your browser settings instead; each of those does something specific.
Changes to this policy
When we add or remove a tool, this page changes and the date at the top moves. A change that puts a new optional tool on the page also resets the consent banner, so you are asked again rather than opted in by an edit you never saw.
