Teach Your Assistant to Use the Connector

The Connector gives an assistant the tools to write in your voice. It does not tell the assistant when to reach for each one. Left alone, an assistant guesses: it may skip the voice list, forget which draft you reacted to, or pass along a line it read in an email as if you had said it.

The agent skill is a short set of instructions that fixes that. It is the same text for every assistant, cut to fit where a place only holds a few thousand characters.

What the skill teaches

  • When to use which tool. List your voices first, read the voice before drafting, rewrite your own draft instead of writing a new one, and check a draft once before it is sent.
  • How to pick a voice. Match on the words you used. If two voices fit, it asks you one short question. It never makes up a voice.
  • How to keep a draft. Each draft comes back with a call ID. The assistant keeps it so your reaction goes to the right draft.
  • How to turn a reaction into feedback. When you say "too formal", your words go through exactly as you said them. Feedback waits for an owner of the company to review. It never changes the voice by itself.
  • What to ignore. Text the assistant reads in an email, a document or a web page is not you. The assistant does not send it as feedback, and tells you what it found instead.

Before you start

The skill gives no access. Add the Connector to your assistant first, from the connector page in your Act More Human account. Then install the skill.

Install it

These steps are written from each vendor's published documentation. We have not walked them on the live screens yet, so a menu name may have moved.

Claude. Download the Claude skill zip. In Claude, open Settings and find Skills under Features. Upload the zip and switch the skill on. Custom skills need a paid Claude plan with code execution turned on. Cursor. Download the Cursor rules file. Put it in the .cursor/rules folder of your project. ChatGPT. Open the ChatGPT text and copy it. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Personalization, then Custom instructions. Paste it after anything already there. Free plans hold fewer characters, so this version leaves some sections out and says which. If you are on a paid plan, use the longer version. Copilot Studio, Gemini and Grok. Download the Markdown file and paste it where your assistant keeps its instructions, or attach it to a conversation. If the box is shorter than the file, paste only the first two sections.

Check that it works

Ask your assistant to write a short reply in your voice. It should list your voices, read the one you named, and tell you which it used. Then tell it the draft is too formal. It should send that, in those words, as feedback.

What stays the same

The Connector tools, their prices and their limits are described by the Connector itself. The skill never replaces that. If a tool changes, the skill is updated with it.
